Genesis Mission and National Policy for Artificial Intelligence Executive Orders

(Shredding Separation of Powers and Stealing Intellectual Property)

Well, I might as well just jump into this swamp of alligators!!

First from Ensuring a National Policy for Artificial Intelligence Executive Order, December 11, 2025:

“My Administration must act with the Congress to ensure that there is a minimally burdensome national standard— not 50 discordant State ones. The resulting framework must forbid State laws that conflict with the policy set forth in this order. That framework should also ensure that children are protected, censorship is prevented, copyrights are respected, and communities are safeguarded. A carefully crafted national framework can ensure that the United States wins the AI race, as we must.” (Emphasis mine)

Wow, what ever happened to the Separation of Powers? Forbidding state laws that conflict with President Trump’s Executive Order is shredding the Separation of Powers.

We have tried a national policy for education A.K.A. Common Core and then Social Emotional Learning. How has that worked? A nationwide avalanche of failure has been the result.

I fear the President has forgotten that the States created the federal government; that means the States should have authority over the feds. However, with decades of the federal government buying our states’ rights via federal grants, the States find themselves vassals of the federal government. This consolidation of power is beyond dangerous, and I certainly CANNOT support this type of heavy handedness: do this or else is deemed as a “partnership” with the federal government.

Each state must decide how they wish to approach AI. Unfortunately, in Kansas both the Democrats, led by Governor Laura Kelly, and the Republicans led by Senate President Ty Masterson have banned together to grease the skids for massive AI Data Centers. In April, 2025, Governor Kelly signed into law SB 98 which exempts AI Data Centers from sales tax on construction materials and equipment. Naturally, it was supported by and voted for by Senate President Ty Masterson. Ah, the Kelly/Masterson team!!

Again, the Democrats and the Republicans converging to support corporate welfare. These AI projects are going to come to Kansas; they are looking for land, water and electricity. Where they find these resources, they will come. Why hand out subsidies like candy to an industry that threatens to steam roll across any and all land use requirements?

And now we have President Trump saying if states adopt regulations that can be deemed as hampering the AI industry, those statutes are null and void. WOW!!

Can you remind me what country I live in? Sorry Mr. President, this along with the Genesis Mission are 2 bridges too far.

Launching the Genesis Mission Executive Order, November 24, 2025: (AI federal rules on steroids)

“The Secretary of Energy (Secretary) shall be responsible for implementing the Mission within DOE, consistent with the provisions of this order, including, as appropriate and authorized by law, setting priorities and ensuring that all DOE resources used for elements of the Mission are integrated into a secure, unified platform.” (Emphasis mine)

Please note: “integrated into a secure, unified platform.” The word “secure” in this phrase is an oxymoron in the digital world. Does a unified platform mean that all of our chickens are in one hen house and all of our eggs are in one basket? Let’s see, how did that work in Hawaii when we stacked our aircraft like cord wood to keep them safe from saboteurs? Oh, yeah, the disaster at Pearl Harbor.

And this one (v) in section 3: “secure access to appropriate datasets, including proprietary, federally curated, and open scientific datasets, in addition to synthetic data generated through DOE computing resources, consistent with applicable law; applicable classification, privacy, and intellectual property protections; and Federal data-access and data-management standards;” (Emphasis mine)

The Genesis Mission Executive Order is giving the federal government access to any and all information, including proprietary (intellectual property). So, we’re throwing intellectual property rights out the window? (Emphasis mine)

I am certain that President Trump’s advisors and big tech have told him this is critical for national security. However, citizens of Japanese descent were herded into internment camps during WWII for national security. Think about it.

Rush into disaster, stop and think: slow and steady wins the race.
