Mike Brown Bureau of Engraving and Printing Leadership Announcment

Bureau of Engraving and Printing Leadership Announcement 🇺🇸

The United States Department of the Treasury today announced the appointment of Michael Brown as the next Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), one of the nation’s most historic and mission-critical institutions.

For more than 160 years, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing has played a central role in supporting the strength and stability of the United States financial system through the design, production, and security of U.S. paper currency. The Bureau also advances sophisticated anti-counterfeiting technologies that help preserve confidence in the U.S. dollar worldwide.

As Director, Brown will oversee operations in Washington, D.C., and Fort Worth, Texas, leading nearly 1,700 Bureau professionals responsible for the design, security, production, and modernization of United States currency.

Brown brings extensive experience in manufacturing, large-scale operations, business leadership, and public service. In this role, he will help guide strategic infrastructure initiatives, operational modernization efforts, security enhancements, and the continued evolution of the Bureau’s mission and capabilities.

The Bureau continues to pursue opportunities focused on innovation, modernization, and long-term operational excellence while maintaining its commitment to producing secure, trusted currency on behalf of the American people.

Director Brown has also graciously encouraged visitors especially from Kansas to come and visit and allow him to let them take that unique tour of the engraving and printing facility, as he did with Senator Rick Kloos and his wife Pennie.

And Jacob Swisher and his friends visiting from Germany where Jacob was having a final farewell with 17-year-old international student David Schiesser and his parents from Nuremberg, Germany, (below) Director Mike Brown, Diana Schiesser, David Schiesser, Jacob Swisher, and Wilhelm Schiesser

Excellence continues and the Buck, forgive the pun, stops here.

Congratulations Director Brown
