Dear Veterans – We the People are Sorry

Dear Veterans,

Some of “We the people” are sorry!

You gave it all for this representative-style of government, but some of us won’t even give a few dollars or hours to help get good people elected to represent us.

You went off to war to protect our right to speak; yet, we won’t even get off the couch and go to the city council meetings to let our voices be heard.

You left your families for extended periods to protect ours, but we can’t think past the current social media reel, scrolling in our instant gratification minds, while the digital prison walls are built around us.

You know pain, training and fighting to protect our right to own homes, while some of the people became the bureaucrats that tax us out of our homes – while others won’t even take the time to vote for someone who won’t tax and spend – or hold them accountable for bad votes and cronyism.

You gave it all and some of us will give nothing. Not our time, our money, our talents, our comfortable lifestyle, our reputation, or our voice.

You knew socialism, communism or a one-world globalist government that many of you died protecting us from, was the antithesis to freedom, anti-Christ because that form of government wants to be our God.

You fought. You stood to protect our God-given rights and the government that claimed it was following the Constitution that declared those rights supreme.

As the Constitution was trampled, the institutions infiltrated, morals watered down, and people began justifying their complicit behaviors and incentives, the road became paved for more corruption. But you still heard the call and served.

Over time, some of the people got too comfortable, complacent, and gullible to the propaganda that was yelling at them from every news source. Their minds were numbed, their ears were tickled, and the lies made their way like truth. They lost their desire to express their voice or an outlet to do so.

That’s why Free State News was founded –

My prayer, my plea echoes Abraham Lincoln’s cry,

“that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.


Sadly we are close. I fear at times I will see it in my lifetime, but I’m just as worried for my children’s children.

We know the Lord Himself goes before us and will fight for us, but sometimes He does that through us – His army.

We each have a different role in that army, and we sincerely thank you for yours.

We honor you with heartfelt gratitude. Thank you for your service and sacrifice.

May our actions speak louder than those words.

Honoring you this Veteran’s Day and every day. 🙏🏼
