Former Kansas GOP Chairman and current Director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Mike Brown, sent a “thank you” to President Trump on social media last Tuesday.
This was the day after President Trump held a rally in Kansas.
Below is his post:
Well, the birthday secret is finally out—and this one is going to be HARD to top!
Here is the unveiling of that “bucket list” birthday present from a friend in Washington, DC.
That friend? President Donald J. Trump along with Matt Brasseaux and Marshall Moreau.
And the present? I am aboard AIR FORCE ONE with the President of the United States, headed HOME to Kansas for today’s rally in Park City! ✈️🇺🇸
Fifty-eight trips around the sun, and this is one birthday celebration I will NEVER forget.
For a kid from Bonner Springs—a sixth-generation Kansan who spent decades building homes, raising a family, running businesses, and eventually stepping into public service—this is a moment that makes you stop and take it all in. There are days you know you’ll be telling your grandchildren about. This is certainly one of mine.
The history represented by Air Force One, the privilege of traveling with the President, and the sheer magnitude of the experience are enough to leave even ME searching for words. And those who know me know that doesn’t happen very often!
But the part that makes this especially meaningful? We’re headed to KANSAS. My roots. My people. My HOME.
Mr. President, thank you for an extraordinary birthday gift and a memory I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life. Traveling with you is an incredible honor. Traveling with you back to my home state of Kansas makes it all that much sweeter.
Earlier, I said the cavalry was coming. Now you know how we’re getting there. 😉
Hold on, Kansas! We’re comin’!
