November 06, 2025
Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced on Wednesday that Coldwater Mayor Jose Ceballos was being charged for voting multiple times when he was not a US citizen. Ceballos was re-elected Mayor on Tuesday.

The complaint filed against Ceballos shows three counts of “Voting without being qualified” and three counts of “Election perjury” for Kansas elections on Nov. 8, 2022, Nov. 7, 2023, and Aug. 6, 2024.

Voter registration records
Ceballos’ voter registration was captured in 41 voter files from July 2008 through Sept. 2025. He was a registered Republican.

The oldest file in this list from 2008 included voter history back to 2000.
Ceballos also appeared in a very old Feb. 2000 Kansas voter, which has a different format than those after 2006.
Voter history records
Voter history information from voter files shows Ceballos voted 29 times from the presidential general election in Nov. 2000 (GN2000) through the presidential election in Nov. 2024 (GN2024).
Ceballos did not cast a ballot in 2018.
